Traditional Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients

  • 1  pie shell (9-inch), unbaked
  • 2 C cooked or canned pumpkin
  • ½ C Pioneer® Golden Light Brown Sugar
  • ¼ C maple syrup
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • ½ tsp ginger
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 can (13 oz.) evaporated milk

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375° F. Prepare pie crust; fold into 9-inch pie dish, trim and set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add pumpkin, Pioneer® Golden Light Brown Sugar, syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and salt. Mix until just blended. Add the eggs and evaporated milk; mix until smooth.
  3. Pour into the prepared pie shell. Place in oven and bake for 50–60 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool on wire rack.
