Macaroons with Dried Strawberries

Ingredients

  • ¼ tsp cream of tartar
  • 4 egg whites, room temperature
  • 1 ½ C Pioneer® Sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 10 oz. dried strawberries, cut up

Directions

  1. Combine the cream of tartar with the egg whites and beat 15 minutes. While beating add Pioneer® Sugar 2 tablespoons at a time. When finished add the vanilla and salt. Fold in the strawberries. Using a teaspoon or tablespoons, depending on the size you wish, place on parchment paper and bake at 250° F for 1 hour. Let cool about 10 minutes.
