Baked chicken breasts with lemon and garlic

Lemon Chicken

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless chicken breasts halves
  • ¾ C Pioneer® Golden Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • 1 T flour
  • salt & pepper
  • ¼ C butter, melted then cooled slightly
  • ¾ C lemon juice
  • 1 lemon, sliced

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F. Spray a 9 x 9-inch baking dish with cooking spray; set aside.
  2. In a microwaveable bowl, melt butter.
  3. In a bowl mix together Pioneer® Golden Light Brown Sugar, poultry seasoning, flour, salt and pepper. Add melted butter and lemon juice; stir.
  4. Place chicken in prepared dish.
  5. Spread the mixture over the top of the chicken. Place lemon slices on top of each piece of chicken.
  6. Bake 1 hour. Baste occasionally with own juices.
