Ingredients

  • ¾ C Pioneer® Sugar
  • 2 ½ C flour
  • ¾ C Pioneer® Golden Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • ¾ C margarine, melted and cooled
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. almond extract
  • 1 C white chocolate chips
  • 1 C maraschino cherries (before chopping)
  • 6 oz. whole almonds
  • 12 oz. white almond bark

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375° F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl combine Pioneer® Sugar, flour, Pioneer® Golden Light Brown Sugar and baking soda; set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl add margarine, egg, vanilla and almond extract; stir and add to flour mixture blending to mix well; set aside.
  4. Chop maraschino cherries and add to dough; blend. Chop almonds and add to dough; mix well. Drop by teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 11 minutes. Remove from oven and cool on cookie racks.
  5. In a microwave, melt the almond bark and dip cooled cookies, coating half of each cookie. Set on waxed paper. Top each cookie with half of a maraschino cherry. Enjoy!
 

Cook's Note

You may use white glaze instead of almond bark if desired.
