About

Pioneer Sugar

Locally Grown. Locally Owned.

That is what pure, all-natural Pioneer Sugar is all about. Our sugar starts on family farms in Michigan and Ontario, Canada. During the growing season, Mother Nature makes the sugar and after harvest that sugar is extracted and packaged at Michigan Sugar Company’s processing facilities in Bay City, Caro, Croswell, and Sebewaing, Michigan. Then, that sugar makes it’s way to store shelves and, ultimately, your home, where it is used to sweeten delicious treats and savory dishes, mix up a tasty cocktail or sauce, or craft an original scrub. From our farms to your table: it doesn’t get any sweeter than that.

From Farm To Table

The sugarbeet is a very important and successful cash crop for Michigan Sugar Company grower-owners across the Great Lakes State and Ontario, Canada. Learn how a young sugarbeet seedling survives many obstacles and grows into a strong crop for harvest, and is then sliced to extract pure, all-natural Pioneer Sugar that ends up on a table near you.
