Ingredients

  • 4 slices thick-sliced bacon, cooked
  • ¼ C Pioneer® Golden Light Brown Sugar
  • ¼ C vinegar
  • ¼ C water
  • ½ head of cabbage, shredded

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the bacon until tender. Remove and place on paper towel; set aside.
  2. Cook the shredded cabbage in the bacon fat until wilted and shiny over medium heat.
  3. Add the Pioneer® Golden Light Brown Sugar, vinegar and water; stir. Cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile cut bacon into bite size pieces. Add a couple of slices to each serving.
