Sweet Chipper Tea Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 4 C flour
  • ½ C Pioneer® Sugar
  • 2 T baking powder
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ C butter, cold
  • 1 C mini chocolate chips
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 C evaporated milk
  • 1 ½ tsp. vanilla
  • 2 T milk

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400° F.
  2. In a bowl combine flour, Pioneer® Sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in butter with a pasty blender until crumbly. Stir in chocolate chips; set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl beat the eggs, evaporated milk and vanilla together. Add to the flour mixture. Stir with a fork to form a soft ball. Place on a floured surface and knead 6-8 times. Roll to ¾-inch thickness. Cut with floured biscuit cutter. Place on lightly greased baking sheet. Brush with milk. Bake for 14-16 minutes. Best when served warm.
