Strawberry Spring Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. fresh mixed greens, washed and dried
  • 1 pint fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • ½ C Pioneer® Sugar
  • 1 tsp poppy seeds
  • 1 ½ tsp onion, finely chopped
  • ¼ tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ tsp paprika
  • ½ C vegetable oil
  • ¼ C cider vinegar
  • ¼ C whole pecans or pieces

Directions

  1. Arrange greens and strawberries on individual salad plates or in a large salad bowl. 
  2. In a blender or food processor add Pioneer® Sugar, poppy seeds, onion, Worcestershire sauce, and paprika. While the unit is running, add oil and vinegar in a steady stream. Continue to blend until thickened. Remove and drizzle over salad. 
  3. Top with pecans and serve immediately.
 

Cooks Note

After blending all the ingredients you can transfer to a container and chill for a few hours before serving also.
