Pineapple Iced Tea

Ingredients

  • 2 C boiling water
  • 6 tea bags
  • ¾ – 1 C Pioneer® Sugar
  • 1 can (8 oz.) crushed pineapple
  • 1 T lemon juice
  • water
  • ice

Directions

  1. Boil water, add tea bags and let steep for 10-20 minutes (to your desired taste). Remove tea bags and stir in sugar until dissolved. 
  2. Add crushed pineapple and lemon juice, stir. Pour into 2 quart pitcher. Add more water and ice to fill up pitcher. 
  3. Add a wedge of pineapple and a sprig of mint when serving if desired.
 

Cooks Note

Add enough sugar to your preference of sweetness. Also experiment with flavored teas. This recipe can easily be changed to your preference of fruit, and you can use fruit juice instead of the actual fruit. Enjoy!
