29219339 - deep fried bacon wrapped sausage

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. hot dogs
  • 1 pkg. bacon
  • 4 C ketchup
  • 2 C Pioneer® Sugar
  • toothpicks

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F. Add a rack to a baking (cookie) sheet; set aside.
  2. Cut hot dogs into thirds. Cut bacon in half. Wrap an uncooked slice of bacon around a piece of hot dog and put a toothpick in each to hold in place. Place on a prepared baking sheet.
  3. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove and place in a crock-pot.
  4. Mix together the ketchup and Pioneer® Sugar (to taste) and pour over hot dogs in crock-pot. Cover and let cook on low for 2 hours.
 

Cook's Note

To add a some spice add a little cayenne pepper and/or chili powder. Makes a great snack the next day!
