Cranberry Cookies in a Jar

Jar Ingredients

  • 1 ¾ C flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1/3 C cocoa powder
  • ¾ C Pioneer® Sugar
  • ½ C Pioneer® Golden Light Brown Sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 C semi-sweet chocolate chips or white chocolate chips
  • 1 ½ C dried cranberries

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375° F. Spray baking sheets with cooking oil or line with parchment paper; set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl add softened butter, egg and vanilla; mix completely. Empty jar of cookie mix into wet mixture bowl; mix with mixer as long as you can, then scrape sides and stir until all incorporated.
  3. Drop cookie dough on prepared baking sheet 2-inches apart.
  4. Bake for 13-15 minutes. Remove from oven and let rest for 3-5 minutes before removing to wire rack.
 

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 ½ sticks butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Cooks Note

When adding dry ingredients to quart jar, stack as listed from the top of the ingredient list into the bottom of the jar first. It’s a very tight fit, so you’ll want to tap the jar on the counter after each addition. When adding the brown sugar, press a whole into the center for the chips to fall into, it helps make a bit more room at the top.
