Cranberry Applesauce

Ingredients

  • 2 LG apples (I used Fuji apples), peeled, cored and sliced into thin slices
  • ¼ C 100% apple juice
  • ¼ C Pioneer® Sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 can (16 oz.) jellied whole berry cranberry sauce

Directions

  1. Simmer apples, juice, Pioneer® Sugar and cinnamon in medium saucepan until apples are just cooked. Do not overcook.
  2. Add cranberry sauce to the apple mixture and heat thoroughly, stirring often, but do not boil.
  3. Let cool and chill in the refrigerator. The sauce will thicken when cooled. Delicious!
