Cornflake Holiday Wreaths

Ingredients

  • ½ C Pioneer® Golden Light Brown Sugar
  • ½ C corn syrup
  • ½ C peanut butter
  • 3 ½ C cornflakes
  • green food coloring
  • cinnamon candies

Directions

  1. In a 5-quart pan combine Pioneer® Golden Light Brown Sugar, corn syrup and peanut butter together. Add green food coloring until the desired shade of green is achieved. Cook over medium heat until sugar is dissolved and mixture starts to boil. **Do not overcook.
  2. Remove from heat. Add cornflakes, quickly stirring to coat.
  3. Drop mixture by large spoonfuls into cupcake baking pans.
  4. Using the handle of a round wooden spoon, hole out the center for the wreath. When all candies have been shaped, place 3 or more cinnamon candies on each to resemble holly berries. Cool.  Remove carefully and store in air-tight container.
