Chocolate Sheet Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 C flour
  • 2 C Pioneer® Sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 4 T cocoa
  • 1 C water
  • 4 T margarine
  • ½ C buttermilk
  • 2 eggs, beaten

Frosting:

  • 1 ½ C Pioneer® Sugar
  • ⅓ C milk
  • 1 stick margarine
  • ½ C chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Cake Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. In a mixing bowl mix flour, Pioneer® Sugar and soda; set aside.
  3. In a saucepan heat cocoa, water and margarine until melted. Add wet mixture to dry mixture. Beat eggs and buttermilk together and add to batter.
  4. Bake in a 15 x 10-inch pan for 25 minutes; allow to cool.

Frosting:

  1. Heat to boiling in a saucepan, Pioneer® Sugar, milk and margarine. Mix in chocolate chips and vanilla and beat until spreading consistency.
  2. Put pan in sink with cold water to speed the cooling process. Frost cake.
