Caramel Apple Pie

Crust Ingredients

  • 1 ½ c flour
  • ½ c canola oil
  • 1 T Pioneer® Sugar
  • 2 T milk

Filling:

  • Michigan Northern Spy apples
  • cinnamon
  • Pioneer® Sugar
  • nutmeg
  • 1 container (16 oz.) caramel apple dip

Topping:

  • ½ C butter
  • 1 C flour
  • ½ C Pioneer® Golden Light Brown Sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Mix together flour, oil, Pioneer® Sugar and milk. Press into pie plate; set aside.
  3. Peel and cut apples, season with cinnamon, Pioneer® Sugar and nutmeg – to taste. Dump filling into pie crust, and then pour caramel over apples.
  4. Soften butter and mix with flour and Pioneer® Golden Light Brown sugar – then crumble on top of apples /caramel.
  5. Bake until topping in browned – approx. 45 minutes.
