Amy’s Fudge Brownies

  • 8 T unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 pkg. (6 oz.) milk chocolate chips
  • ¾ C Pioneer® Sugar
  • 2 LG eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • ½ C all-purpose flour
  • 2 T unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp. salt

Chocolate Ganache Frosting:

  • 4 oz. heavy whipping cream
  • 5 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips


  1. Preheat oven to 350° F. Grease an 8 x 8-inch pan; set aside.
  2. Melt chocolate chips and butter in a glass bowl over a sauce pan filled with water and whisk until smooth. (To save time you can melt the butter and chocolate in microwave for 1 – 1 ½ minutes checking every 30 seconds for scorching). Whisk into chocolate mixture; Pioneer® Sugar, eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, cocoa powder and salt together into a mixing bowl. Fold chocolate mixture into dry ingredients. Pour mixture into prepared pan. Bake for 27-29 minutes or until toothpick put in center comes out easily with only moist crumbs attached.

Chocolate Ganache Frosting:

  1. In a microwave safe bowl, heat the cream 1 minute, add in the chocolate chips and stir until smooth. Let cool until room temperature, pour over cooled brownies. Let sit one hour before serving.
